Last year, Alabama Goodwill received 5,760,311 pounds of donations — and tucked inside all of that generosity were countless books just waiting to find a new home.
That's where BookWorks comes in.
BookWorks is Alabama Goodwill's program dedicated to getting books into the hands and homes of children who might otherwise never have the chance to own one. Volunteers help sort donations and read to local children — turning a simple act of giving into something that can spark a lifelong love of reading.
